The Future - a poem for everyone getting their exam results

Your eyes are distinctly dappled
Filled with genetics and light
What reflects back is not
How many answers you got right

Your skin is beautifully blemished
Scarred with dreamt experiences
And bare no resemblance
To university clearances

Your body is inimitably individual
Rippling under friendly faces
The shadows that you dance among
Do not display your ranked places

Your soul is uniquely yours
A woven museum of your decades
And these glass cabinets cannot hold
Your transient exam grades
