Fist on your Head (Poem)

There must be a reason to why
Your fist sits so comfortably
By your ear and side of your eye
In the shallow dip of your skull

Beckoning deep focus in thought
A hand props up a cloud of ideas
Clashing opinions with what’s taught
A thunderstorm about to burst

Lusting in infatuation
One must stop their fluttering eyes
And hide their inner temptation
As a naïve stranger walks on by

Feigning from a beloved bed
Public transport emphasising
The need to uphold our head
From our circadian rhythm

From bearing our creative vent
To deceiving engraved feelings
A simple body announcement

Of placing your fist to your head

(Thoughts from overthinking, but positively for once!)

  1. Interesting to think that our bodies and parts of them fit together perfectly and also with others body parts. We spend much time thinking and contemplating our lives as individuals and with others - always aspiring to be happy and content.
